- Eligibility
The Sweater Adventure Contest is only open to US persons, and participants must have a valid Sweater Member Number to participate. All Sweater Inc. employees, employees’ immediate family members, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies are ineligible to participate in the contest.
- Sponsorship
The Sweater Adventure Contest is sponsored by Sweater Inc., headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, at 2000 Central Avenue, Suite 100, Boulder, CO 80301.
- Agreement to Rules
By entering the contest, participants agree to abide by the Sponsor’s Official Rules. Sweater Inc. reserves the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify entries at its sole discretion. Participants agree to accept the decision of the Sponsor as final and binding.
- Entry Period
The promotion period for the Sweater Adventure Contest begins December 1st, 2022 at 10am Mountain Time and ends on December 31st, 2022 at 11:59pm Mountain Time.
- How to Enter
The Sweater Adventure contest is a referral based contest with the goal to grow the Sweater community. To enter, participants must share their personal Sweater Member Number—located in the Sweater mobile app—with friends they’re referring to the Sweater Community. Participants will receive credit for each new account created in the Sweater app using the participant’s Member Number at creation of account. Participants will only get credit if the referee correctly inputs their Member Number when creating an account.
- Prizes
The winner of the Sweater Adventure Contest grand prize will get to choose one adventure valued up to $30,000. The adventure packages include: Family Adventure, Global Adventure, Founder Adventure. The winner of the grand prize will be limited to one adventure experience. Other prizes include Sweater branded merchandise. All prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted for cash nor exchanged for other products to a corresponding value. Applicable taxes are paid by the prize winner.
- Selection & Notification of the Winner(s)
The winner of the grand prize will be selected based on the number of referrals associated with their personal Member Number. A minimum of 100 referrals is required to be considered for the grand prize. Additionally, all participants with at least ten (10) referrals will receive $50 credit to the Sweater Shop to use on any Sweater branded merchandise (e.g. a Sweater sweater).
Winners will be notified in January 2023, after the promotion period has ended, and the winner of the grand prize will be announced publicly. Winners will have until March 31st, 2023, to claim their prize. The Sponsor is not liable for the winner’s failure to receive notification of winning, if they provided a wrong email address, phone number, or if their email security settings caused the prize notification to go into the spam or junk folder.
If the grand prize is not claimed by the notified winner by March 31st, 2023, the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner.
- Adventure Prize Documentation
The winner of the grand prize agrees to document their adventure experience and release all documentation to the Sponsor, including photos and video, to be used by the Sponsor to share the experience with the public and Sweater Community.
- Rights Granted by the Entrant
Upon entry to the Sweater Adventure Contest, the participant grants the Sponsor the right to use the participant’s voice, likeness, image, statements about the contest, or social media posts for publicity, news, advertising, and promotional purposes without any further notice, review, consent, compensation, or remuneration.
- Terms & Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the contest in the event that a non-authorized human intervention, a bug or virus, fraud, or other causes beyond their control impact or corrupt the security, fairness, proper conduct, or administration of the contest.
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone who violates the terms, as well as the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law in cases where a participant has caused deliberate damage or undermined the legal operation of the promotion.
- Limitation of Liability
Entry to the contest constitutes the participant’s agreement to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, and employees against all claims of liability, injury, death, and loss that occurs directly or indirectly from participation in the contest or use/misuse of the awarded prize.
- Disputes
As a condition of participating in the contest, entrants agree that disputes not resolved between the participant and the Sponsor shall be individually resolved exclusively before a court located in Colorado, without resorting to any form of class action. Entrants waive all rights to punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, and they waive all rights to have damages multiplied.
- Privacy Policy
Participant’s information is subject to the Sponsor’s privacy policy.
- Social Media Platforms
The Sweater Adventure Contest sponsored by Sweater Inc. is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Google, or YouTube.
- Affirmation of Acceptance of and Agreement to All of the Official Rules
Upon entry to the contest, the entrant has affirmatively reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all Official Rules.
